Project Description: The Institute will be established as a semi-independent institute of the Polytechnic. This means that the Institute can give BSc, MSc and post-experience courses and award academic diploma’s including PhD degrees, subject to the quality control of the university. Semi-independent also means that the Institute has to provide for its own income and control its own expenses; it will not be on the budget of the university. Income will come from students’ fees, research contracts from industry, research grants from other sources, and the state.
