Project Description: This program provides information about the opportunities in establishment of a large, six hectare size tomato greenhouse in Armenia. For constructing a 6 ha high‐tech greenhouse for tomato production, total of € 8,631,135 is needed as an initial investment. This amount includes acquisition of land, construction of Venlo type greenhouse for cultivating tomato and initial cash for covering operational expenses in the first year. According to Growtech Holand Company (the Netherlands) the cost of constructing Venlo type greenhouse with 6 ha of total area will be approximately € 8,276,919, which includes construction of greenhouse, computer control system, heating system, irrigation system (hydroponics), cold storage for tomato, necessary equipment, etc. (Growtech Holand). The feasibility of the project is calculated for a full five‐year period.
